(Photo from 9.27.98) In Philadelphia, I have many wonderful friends. Two of them are Jim and Davilla Robinson, my 'other' parents, as I call them. Jim was wonderful in getting me on the bill for a Tribute to Benny Golson. I played a set in the middle of the concert with a trio. At the end of the show, I came out to play his tune "I Remember Clifford" with him. It was huge honor to be on the same stage with him. You also might remember him as the last signature for Tom Hanks' character in "The Terminal". This photo was taken at the after-concert reception at the Robinson's home.
