| (2006) The
one and only
crooner Frankie
Laine holding my 2006
release "Three Equals One" in his San Diego
home. I had approached Frankie's manager,
Jimmy Marino, about singing on it. However,
he had just retired (at age 93) because
of health issues. Mr. Laine was a very
generous man. He agreed to do an audio
track that I could use on the CD. He and
his musical director, Benny Holman, both
did a review of the CD on mini-disk. It
was an amazing brush with greatness. Check
out FrankieLaine.com if you are not familiar
with the legacy that this Jazz/Country/Gospel
singer left behind. Frankie Laine passed
away last year and will be missed by all.
